Jane Pickett - Writer and Director

Jane Pickett is a filmmaker and playwright based in Los Angeles. Her work has been presented in New York at CSV, The Williamsburg Arts Nexus, The Bushwick Starr, and The Paradise Theater, as well as The Redcat Now Festival and The Philadelphia and Edinburgh International Fringe Festivals. In the spring of 2010, Jane traveled to Cuba as Head Writer on THE CLOSEST FARTHEST AWAY. Conceived as a hybrid of theater and cinema, the piece premiered at the Havana International Film Festival and the script was published in TheatreForum. Turning her focus towards filmmaking, Jane co-created and starred in the melancholic cyber-romance short A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION (2010), wrote and directed AN ACTRESS IN SEARCH OF AN EXIT (2010) as part of The Los Angeles 48-Hour Film Project, and completed her silent short film CUTTLEFISH (2011). In 2011, Jane started her production company Nature Show and was accepted into The American Film Institute's Directing Workshop for Women where she completed THE MEN'S ROOM. Andrew Lush - Producer

An artist and filmmaker in Los Angeles, Andrew is a producer, editor, motion graphics designer, and experimental animator. Most recently he created the theatrical motion graphics for the 2012 Sundance Film Festival – his animation was presented before each film that was screened. He received his BA in Film & Electronic Arts at Bard College and studied Experimental Animation at CalArts. Jonas Sacks - Cinematographer

Growing up in a musical family and business, Jonas started producing and shooting interviews and musical essays with classical artists for the record label CHANNEL CLASSICS in The Netherlands. While earning a Bachelor Degree in Audiovisual Media Design at the Utrecht School of the Arts (Netherlands, ‘08) Jonas started working on numerous short narrative films, commercials, docs and music videos as a gaffer and later as a cinematographer. After shooting his first feature CHAPLIN OF THE MOUNTAINS in Kurdistan/Iraq, he decided to move to Los Angeles to turn cinematography into a full-time endeavor.  Adam Brustein - Production Designer

Adam keeps busy between designing independent films and contributing to the designs on studio films and TV. Before focusing on production design, he got his bachelor's degree in studio art from Skidmore College and then his MFA in set design from SUNY Purchase. Abra Brayman - Art Director

Abra Brayman is a designer for screen & stage. Along with being an art director, Abra is a visionary production/set designer, set decorator, prop master, costume designer, scenic & visual artist. Lindsay Seyffert - Editor

Lindsay Seyffert came to Los Angeles to pursue a BFA in Theatre/Writing from CalArts. Her interests transitioned to film after taking classes at LACC, and soon afterwards began an internship at The Park Entertainment, where she was later hired on as a video and sound editor. During her time there, she worked as a sound designer and foley artist on several independent films including KARMA CALLING and THE NEW TWENTY, which was featured at Outfest. Prior to attending AFI, she edited the music video LOSING YOU for the band Willoughby and worked with the Los Angeles dance troupe LA Unbound editing their live performances. During her time at AFI she has edited 6 AFI Cycle films and in addition to THE MEN'S ROOM, is working on two AFI Thesis shorts titled DR. GUTMAN'S EULOGY and SKINNY JO. When not tucked away in a small dark room editing, Lindsay enjoys spending time in the sunlight with her husband and poodles at their Highland Park home.

Leah Piehl - Costume Designer

Leah has designed several films including Second City’s BUZZKILL, directed by Steven Kampmann. Other films include A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION, created by Sasha Freedman and Jane Pickett, SHELLY FIGG (AFI DWW), and THE MACABRE WORLD OF LAVENDER WILLIAMS, featuring Christopher Lloyd and Rex Linn. She designed the pilot, MULLERCIZE IT!, with actors Thomas Lennon and R. Ben Garant of Reno 911. Leah has designed costumes for several music videos including Frankie Valli, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, Killola, Black Light Burns, Giant Drag, Mitchell Schaffer, Skopic, Selena Gomez, Cheeta Girls and Paolo Nutini. Leah also works as a commercial stylist. Credits include Toyota Prius and Callaway Golf, featuring Phil Mickelson. Leah’s work for artist Kelly Nipper exhibited at Art Basel Miami and the 2010 Whitney Biennial. Nathan Ruyle - Sound Designer and Mixer

Nathan Ruyle is a cross-disciplinary artist, designer, producer, educator and technologist. He maintains a hybrid studio in Los Angeles, broadly focused on sound, visual, and interactive content creation across cinematic, commercial, artistic, and online contexts. Recent work includes Nina Menke's feature film DISSOLUTION and Elle Magazine Online's WOMEN IN MUSIC & WOMEN IN HOLLYWOOD projects. He is also a frequent collaborator with the contemporary multimedia performance groups Cloud Eye Control and Early Morning Opera, most recently for the EMPAC developed media performance/installation [AB][AC][US], which showed at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival as part of New Frontiers. Nathan is currently faculty at the California Institute of the Arts in the School of Film/Video and the Center for Integrated Media and periodically an audio producer for public radio’s Marketplace.
